Crown Molding
Crown Moldings
Crown moldings are used where walls and ceiling meet. They are used to cover large angles, and are always sprung. Crown molding profiles are measured by the width, and then by the length of the profile.
Crown molding can also be used as a transition to a mantle or a shelf, or even in conjuction with other moldings for a "compound" molding.
Installation Tip Give molding a few days to acclimate inside the building prior to installation - especially during the winter months. This gives the wood time to adjust to the relative humidity of its environment.
